“Rara Remix” revisits “Rara Indivisible,” but at this time, with the clarinet choir.   It’s also a nod to the great World Saxophone Quartet, which, like West African drum orchestras, grooves deeply, but this time, on wind instruments.    I have always wanted to erase the line between horns and the so-called “rhythm section:” as Ellington and Basie showed so long ago, rhythm is carried by all.  This tune also gives clarinetist Isaiah Richardson a chance to shine.
